Yes, provided it is properly referenced in the NFT metadata. The JSON schema acts as a machine-readable pointer to a full legal text (PDF/Markdown) stored on IPFS. Courts increasingly recognize these digital formations of contract when intent is clear.
For existing collections, you cannot change the original metadata (if immutable). However, Web3IP allows the original creator wallet to sign a 'Clarification of Rights' message on-chain, which our indexer picks up as the current valid license.
We currently support all EVM-compatible chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base). Solana and Tezos support is currently in beta.
If you select a revenue cap (e.g., $100k/year), the license automatically includes language requiring the licensee to renegotiate a separate enterprise agreement once that threshold is met.
